Garden native resident

A number of native wildlife regularly visit the garden for water and a rest. However we also have some native creatures that have chosen to reside in our garden and we take great pleasure in sharing the garden with these. One of our most curious and friendliest is a beautiful Blue Tongue Lizard. See him below

What’s growing in the garden in July

It’s cooled down quite a bit over the last couple of weeks and the winter vegetables are growing nicely.

The garden on ABC 7.30 report

Tomorrow is our 2014 Open Day & 10 year Anniversary

March 21, 2014

Tomorrow, Saturday 21st March 2014 1pm – 4pm, is our Open Day which this year coincides with the 10 year anniversary of the first plantings at the garden.

We will be having Garden Tours, a Garden Themed Jumble, Plant & Seedling sale, Sausage Sizzle, Home Grown Produce and Home-made Goodies.

Come and join the 10 years celebration of our Community Garden.

Our garden featured in Guardian article

The Guardian has done an article on community gardening in Melbourne and our garden is one of the five that are featured.

The article certainly shows the incredible diversity among community gardens and their importance in an urban context.
