- National Tree Day 2011, 31st July 2011
Planet Ark is currently seeking individuals to register and run local tree planting and bush regeneration sites. Planet Ark created National Tree Day to help address important environmental issues such as habitat for native wildlife, biodiversity, local provenance, salinity, erosion and long term carbon offsetting. Trees also provide much needed shade and beauty! You can organise a tree-planting site in your local park or school, at a nearby creek, roadside or bushland area, even in your own backyard!
